Principal Statement

Our History

A Strong Foundation

Since its founding in 1982, E & S has completed over 3,000 projects totaling over $400 million; 80% of which was completed on a design/build arrangement with the owner, developer, or general contractor. Project sectors include Commercial, Retail, Hospitality, Mixed Use, Government, Warehouses, Data Centers, Smart Buildings, Parking Structures, Offices, Health Care, Agricultural Grow Facilities, Stadiums, Tenant Build-Outs, among others.

Over our 40 plus years in business, E&Scontinues to execute on astrategic growth plan transitioning from a regional consulting firm to a nationally recognized turn-key design /build firm.

E & S Mechanical Services, Inc.

E & S Mechanical Services, Inc. is Founded by Erwin Everett and Robert Stearns as a Regional Consulting Firm

1986

Completes First Design-Build Project

We’re building a modern multi-story commercial building using steel and concrete with large windows, high-quality finishes, and sustainable practices, all within a tight budget, for multiple businesses

1987

Growing

Relocates to Pasadena, MD to Accommodate a Growing Staff

1990

Increases Service Area

Increases Service Area to Become a National Consulting/Design-Build Firm

1992

Reincorporates as E & S Construction Engineers, Inc. to Offer a Larger Range of Services

2002

Bill Kingsland & Allen Poist Become Senior Partners

Under their leadership, E & S has flourished and grown from a small, regional consulting firm to a medium-sized, national Consulting/Design-Build firm that specializes in quality, economical mechanical design, and installation for a variety of industries and clients across the United States

Celebrates 35 Years in Business

Kevin Braughton becomes Senior Partner

E & S Relocates to Hanover, MD & Celebrates 40 Years in Business

We relocated our office to a more central location 5 minutes away from BWI to better serve our clients and employees. We know enjoy a beautiful, new, state-of-the art office suite!
